    I remember a fan instructions, that were translated into Finnish using some translator program... Most sensible part translated into English: "Drive no help admirer at home window. Rain month of May cause electric game of chance"

    I have Done This since I was a child . Nobody looks at you like you’re weird or something , totally normal in Finland to enjoy the spring on the lake 🇫🇮 But when I did This in Sweden the buggers sent the frigging fire departement to rescue the lunatic crazy lady swinging the axe on the ice 😬🤬

    some words like tietokone (might have originally been tietojenkäsittelykone or information processing machine) were intentionally created and preferred, so we wouldn't just use loanwords from English and end up saying kompuutteri. tutka (radar) is another example with the root being the Finnish word tutkia (to examine, among other meanings) referring to what radar is used for.

    Every language should be like this, its easy to deduce whatever that new word means, given that its made up usually out of two simpler words.

    • @VeryFinnishProblems
      @VeryFinnishProblems 5 днів тому

      lol! People buy bottled water because they’ve been fooled into thinking it’s better by years of multi million marketing campaigns by global drinks companies like Coca Cola and Pepsi. It’s not. Finnish tap water is some world’s best. But if people want to waste their money paying for something that’s worse than a product that’s free Pepsi and Coca Cola will be laughing all the way to the bank www.turku.fi/en/news/2021-12-01_quality-water-produced-turku-region-water-rated-best-world-unesco

    In addition to all these mentioned place names, there are also 38 ponds named paskalampi (shit pond) in Finland that are at least 1 hectare in size - statistics don't contain bodies of water smaller than that, but must be more!

    Have you ever counted the cigarette buts in London? Or anywhere else ? I don’t think Finland is any worse ! What comes to Sauna , the purpose is to sweat , so it has to be hot , letters or notes are left by people everywhere ! But if these are the worst things about Finland then I think they are pretty good !

    • @VeryFinnishProblems
      @VeryFinnishProblems 10 днів тому

      If I was talking about worst British habits, then I may have mentioned London, but London's not in Finland is it, and nor do people in London stick that foul snus in their gob. As for sauna, purpose is to sweat but not to burn and maybe people do leave notes in other places, (although not in the other countries I've lived in) but I wasn't talking about other places, i was talking about Finland. Hence the title of the vid :)
